Portfolio of Works

New work and some of it will be in my up coming 2026 Solo show in spring.

La Passion

"La Passion" is Koo's special figurative collection; the inspiration came from this beautiful lustrous green passion fruit plant with its luscious and aromatic flowers. For her, the vines never-endlessly grow, reaching for the sun, just like the society we live in today. Everyone has their part to play and works so hard striving to survive and reaching for their specific goals and achievements.

Paeonia Lactiflora

Peonies Lactiflora collection- Celebrating the bloom of the "queen of flowers, " peonies represent good luck and prosperity. Koo loved painting these beautiful flowers, capturing their lush, virant petals, so full of life.

Fruits and Flowers

Every single one of her still-life paintings is carefully and uniquely set up and painted from life. The process of each painting starts with carefully priming two coats of oil ground on the canvas or panels, this provides a very durable and smooth surface for Koo to work with, also having a studio on the second floor with a north-facing window is very important because painting in natural light is Koo's priority. Occasionally, on a gloomy day, fluorescent lights help.

Figurative

My journey into painting began with a deep fascination for the Old Masters and the way they captured the human figure and portraiture in oil. Their timeless techniques and expressive power inspired me to explore their secrets, which drew me into the world of figurative and portrait painting.
