Pineapple Lady Sarawak

Pineapple Lady, Sarawak

This painting was inspired by a photo I took in my father’s hometown, 10th Mile, the small town where I was born. One morning, I strolled through the local market with my sister. The morning light was both bright and soft, creating a beautiful atmosphere.

I was especially drawn to the purple sunshade, which created a striking contrast against the rest of the scene. The moment I saw it, I immediately knew I wanted to capture this memory in a painting.
